Get in Touch

Questions about a Douglas County release belong with the office that created the record or controls custody. This privately operated reference site cannot look inside a jail system, obtain a protected file, or change a court or agency decision. The contacts below identify the official Douglas County and Kansas routes for jail events, court records, state corrections, supervision, and other custody systems. Check the live agency directory before visiting because assignments, counter hours, and addresses may change.

This is not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or retrieve an official booking record.

Douglas County Jail Contacts

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is the record source for DCCF booking and release events. Use the specific line that fits the request and keep the person’s full name, date of birth, CHRI or Inmate number, booking number, and case number ready.

Douglas County Court Records

The court file can establish bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, probation, revocation, or commitment. Use the court and case number from Booking Recap so the request reaches the Seventh Judicial District or the correct Lawrence, Baldwin City, or Eudora municipal court.

Kansas Corrections and Supervision

A person sentenced into state custody is searched through KASPER, not the county roster. For an official state movement, release, discharge, or supervision record, follow the Kansas Department of Corrections KORA guidance. The KDOC parole-services directory supplies the current Lawrence Parole Office details, which should be checked live instead of copied from an older listing.
