Partner Search Queries
A name, location, or other term entered in a sponsored search box is sent directly to the third-party provider that operates it. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider’s policy governs its collection, matching, account, and payment practices.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless service operation or law requires disclosure. Do not send sensitive jail, payment, medical, or identity documents because this is not an official records office.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Normal web systems and service providers may record technical details when a page loads. This data helps operate and secure the site.

Links lead to Douglas County records, DGSO, Kansas courts, KDOC, federal locators, and outside search services. Each destination controls its own privacy practices. Access to Kansas agency records is governed by the applicable agency rules and the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-218, not by this Privacy Notice. Some advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across sites and select ads. Their policies and opt-out controls apply to that tracking.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by search partners that handle a submitted query, analytics providers that measure use, advertising networks that deliver ads, hosting or security vendors, and law-enforcement or government bodies when disclosure is compelled by a valid legal order.
Security Is Best Effort
Reasonable administrative and technical practices are used to protect information under our control. No internet service, storage system, or transmission is completely secure. We cannot promise that data will never be intercepted, lost, altered, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use Get in Touch to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on applicable law and the data held, a person may ask for a copy, request correction, request deletion, or object to certain processing. We may need enough information to verify the request. Rights involving a partner service must be exercised with that provider.
Changes to This Notice
Privacy practices and service providers may change. A revised notice becomes effective when posted here with any stated effective date. Continued site use after publication is treated as acceptance of the updated terms.
